On-line Payment Terms & Conditions

Detailed description of goods and/or services: Wilderness Adventures is in the safari and hospitality industry that markets and provides a safari experience including accommodation and related transfers.

• Delivery policy
• Subject to availability and receipt of payment, on-line requests will be processed within 60 minutes. Confirmation of services purchased and reserved will be by way of a booking reference and booking voucher. Confirmation of services can be viewed at any time on-line by entering the booking reference number.
• Changes to confirmed bookings
  • As our camps have a limited number of rooms we need to manage our reservations stringently to avoid late cancellations and rooms unoccupied. However, we understand that cancellations and changes are sometimes necessary and accordingly have the following policy which is applicable when guests cancel or change confirmed bookings.
  • Changes:
    • With regards changes to confirmed bookings outside of 8 weeks of travel, 20% of the invoice total may be forfeit
    • With regards changes to confirmed bookings within 8 weeks of travel, the below time-table of forfeit may be applied
  • Cancellations:
    • All cancellations must be made in writing
    • The cost of cancelling a confirmed booking will increase in relation to the period left to date of travel
    • Forfeit Timetable:
      • If an amendment (change or cancellation) is made more than 8 weeks before departure, 20% of the invoice total is forfeit
      • If an amendment (change or cancellation) is made between 4 weeks and 8 weeks, 40% of the invoice total is forfeit
      • If an amendment (change or cancellation) is made between 3 and 4 weeks prior to departure, 50% of the invoice total is forfeit
      • If an amendment (change or cancellation) is made between 2 and 3 weeks prior to departure, 60% of the invoice total is forfeit
      • If an amendment (change or cancellation) is made less than two weeks prior to departure, 100% of the invoice total is forfeit
      • Should a guest fail to join a safari (no show); join during the itinerary or leave prior to its completion; no refund shall be due
  • Refunds:
    • A credit note will be drawn up for the invoice total less the cancellation fees which are forfeit in relation to the cancellation periods above
    • All refunds shall be made against the credit card used to make the original payment
    • Our policies with regards Insurances, Force Majeure and Responsibility are detailed below
  • Customer Privacy Policy:
    Wilderness Adventures shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).   • Credit card acquiring and security:
    • Credit card transactions will be acquired for Wilderness Adventures via PayGate (Pty) Limited who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
    • The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. The transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
    • Wilderness Adventures takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
    • This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Wilderness Adventures chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
    • Wilderness Adventures may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
